I got Project Leopard with the original intercooler and IC piping. Yes, both were rough condition and the Intercooler was too chunky for my taste. Additionally, for the magazine, they made the piping go behind the headlights rather than drill holes in where the battery tray is located. In a sense, it was rushed for the magazine coverage.
Marco wanted to “do it right” and that was the plan. I wanted to use the intercooler and cut it to size once we got to a better place in the build. Unfortunately, when I decided to pull the car from the SR20store, I found out Marco had thrown out my intercooler and piping! While they had to be redone, just the fact that he tossed it without asking me was unprofessional. I only found this out when I was getting everything from the SR20store.
Well, when time came, Hung asked me to get the stuff, I was thinking of getting a whole kit from Japan. Since this is an M30, it would need to be customed and so I went with getting things I would want. I do have a Blitz intercooler in Japan, but it is pretty good sized.
So I decided to get a smaller sized intercooler. This is because I got a zenki front bumper cover and reinforcement (the metal part that holds the bumper cover) and I didn’t know how how it would affect anything.

I also got a universal piping kit since it was all gonna be custom anyways.
It seemed like all these kits were universal and all had the same thing.
One thing to note was that the intercooler’s end pipes were 2.5″ and the intercooler piping was 3″. Hung said I needed to get a few more couplers.
