When I decided to rebuild the RB25, I wanted to make it “new”. I also wanted to upgrade to be strong and I wanted to address any common issues.
When it was discussed about horsepower and other factors, I am always reminded that I am not building for anything specific and I really don’t need to be chasing numbers. I do want to make a strong engine.
Echoing what Marco said, “No cheap ebay parts”, really let me focus on a few things.
I want to use recognized Japanese companies. It is hard to not recognize the newer technology that improves the RB’s capabilities. Australia and New Zealand have been so much research into the RBs for the last 10-15 years and have improved upon Japan’s tuning.
